A great opportunity being offered at MVAOCOU! Speed and agility will help with all sports your child enjoys. Consider this four day camp!
Thank you to everyone that helped with the concessions for the past two weekends. This fundraiser goes directly back to our Athletic department serving the needs of the sports in our district. Thank you also to parents for making treats for us to sell. Go Bobcats!
It's time for our weekly Staff Spotlight, where we take time to introduce one of our amazing staff members to you, our community. We hope you enjoy getting to know us a little better. Today we introduce the wonderful Mrs. Heather Vogt.
She does a great job teaching 6th and 8th grade math and is the Instructional Coach for our teaching staff. She has worked at Charter Oak- Ute for 15 years! She first started her career in the Ute Elementary helping Mrs. Strait. Then she came over to the high school and taught Reading and some Math. Now she teaches Junior High—sometimes this includes English Language Arts along with Math.
Heather states “I love that I’m teaching in the same school that I graduated from. I also enjoy seeing my own children every day. Small schools are the place to be and we have one of the best!” When asked what advice she would give to staff just starting their career here, she advised “Enjoy your students. Know them as individuals. Be yourself.” When stopping in the cafeteria for a bite to eat she shares that her favorite meals are holiday meals and Crispitos!
Outside of school Heather enjoys spending time with her family. This includes her high school sweetheart turned husband of 15 years, Dustin. They also have three wonderful children, Cheyenne- 13, Dixon- 10, and Lindy- 7. In her free time she enjoys being outside, reading, attending various activities for her children, and spending time with friends and family.

CO-U and MVAO will be 2 hours late today, February 16, 2024 due to road conditions. Thank you and stay safe.
This is a reminder to all families that MVAO and COU will have school tomorrow February 16,2024 to make up hours that were missed due to weather in January.
Coach Sloth came to visit today. We had so much fun listening to his stories and helping act them out, that we decided to all come back and work on writing our own stories! Maybe one day they'll be sending him their first book!
