COU VB sweep Whiting 3-0. Come on out Tuesday afternoon for a big match against West Harrison!

It's time for our weekly Staff Spotlight, where we take time to introduce one of our amazing staff members to you, our community. We hope you enjoy getting to know us a little better.
Today we introduce Mr. Jon Morley. He has the esteemed title of Junior High Science and Math teacher. He first called CO-U home in the fall of 2008, which means he has dedicated 15 years here. During this time his role has changed from High School Science teacher, when we still housed the high school here, to his current title.
All the staff appreciate different things about their job here. In Jon’s case, he enjoys getting to know people and teaching in a historic building. He also loved being able to teach all five of his children.
When asked for advice for staff that are just starting their career here, he stated, “In many ways, Charter Oak-Ute is the best of the three schools in which I have taught. My advice is to stay here for many years.”
Jon’s family includes his wife Jenny, whom he has been married to for 30 years! And their five children who all attended Charter Oak-Ute school. Some of whom, have even come back to CO-U to sub! Outside of school Jon says he really enjoys camping with his family.

It's time for our weekly Staff Spotlight, where we take time to introduce one of our amazing staff members to you, our community. We hope you enjoy getting to know us a little better.
Today we introduce Mrs. Eve Reinhold Ullerich! She is our wonderful K-5 Special Education Teacher as well as our JH Girls Track Coach. This will be her 13th year here at CO-U. During Eve’s time here her role has shifted some, from working with K-4, K-6, and now K-5. But she states her role always includes helping great kids and their families have success at school.
When asked what she loves most about working here, she enthusiastically said The KIDS!!! and The STAFF!!! And that she also really loves our 100+ year old building. She said she doesn’t know anyone else who teaches on blackboards.
Advice she would give to a new staff member is, “Love the kids and everything else will fall into place.” Instead of food in the cafeteria, Eve loves when people bring food into the office to share! Sharing is caring! After school hours she enjoys time spent at home with her husband, cats, dog, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. When she has spare time she loves taking care of all their animals, reading, running and traveling the world.

Reminder that there is teacher inservice tomorrow. We will resume school with students on Tuesday.
