Our first track meet of the season went off with a Bang in Dunlap last night. The Bobcats competed against great competition and came away with some impressive, early performances. The girls throwers brought home a second place. ribbon for Mia Staley in the shot put and third for Zi'lynn Freeman in the discus. Boys field events were strong too as Daxton Leitz tossed the winning disc throw! Teagen Gress leaped to fifth place in the long jump bettering our school record alongside Ryder Trucke. Gavin Amunson hopped high enough to break his own record in the high jump. On the track the boy's sprint medley relay of Ryder Trucke, Daxton Leitz, Liam Green and Gavin Amunson placed forth overall. And the 4 by 100 team of Teagen Gress, Austin Mossberger, Ryder Trucke and Gavin Amunson sprinted to a third place finish. Great job to all the Bobcat Tracksters.

CO-U track enjoyed a great afternoon in Mapleton on Friday for a joint mock meet. The kids all did a great job of competing and cheering on their teammates. This was a great way for everyone to prepare for the first meets of the year to kickoff next week. Another great day to be a Bobcat!

Kindergarten was finally able to wrap up our Seasons and Weather unit last week by making windsocks. We went outside to see if we could figure out which way the wind was coming from and then they had a blast creating their own wind while racing around the slab! 😄
