Morning Announcements: Thursday, Dec. 5th
Good Morning Bobcats!!!
Fact of the Day: Did you know that tinsel was invented in 1610 in Germany and was once made of real silver?
Today is known as National Bathtub Party Day! The holiday season has started and this can be a stressful time of year. Think about skipping your ordinary shower and gather your favorite bath bomb, a good book and a glass of your favorite beverage and let the worries of the day fade away while you relax in the tub with some suds.
The 5th grade is "Hanging their stockings with care" in hopes to help others in need out there! Everyone is welcome to donate hats, gloves, scarves, and socks of any and all sizes by hanging them on the 5th grade tree. Because they will be donated, we ask that the items be new. We are also accepting new or gently used toys to be gathered around the base of the tree, and they will also be donated. The 5th grade tree is in the commons hallway by the janitors closet! The planned donation site is 7th Street in Denison, but if anyone knows of other donation sites, please let Mrs. Jepsen or Mrs. Fineran know! Thanks for giving!
There are only 12 days left before Christmas break begins!
Christmas Joke of the Day: Q: Where do snowmen keep their money? A: In a snow bank Ha, ha, ha……That’s a good one!
If you have a funny Christmas joke or riddle and would like to share it with the whole school, please submit your jokes to Kim’s Office. If your joke is chosen it will be announced during the morning announcements and you will get the credit! Keep them clean & keep them funny!
Now it’s time for 2 Truths and a Lie. How well did you know Mrs. Christiansen? If you answered #2 as her lie you were correct. She has not been to 48 states, only 23 of the 50. She has eaten a worm and has zip-lined over America’s highest zip line at the Royal Gorge and has pictures to prove it, even though she is deathly scared of heights. Our lucky winner is 1st grader, Morgan Teut. You may come to the office and claim your prize!
How much do you know about our secretary, Renee Ernst? Can you guess which of these statements is her LIE? 1. I think cabbage is disgusting.
2. I've never been pulled over by the cops.
3. I can write with both hands.
If you think you know which statement is NOT true about Renee, submit your answers to the container in Kim’s Office but you MUST HAVE your name and grade level on the answer!! A winner will be announced tomorrow.
Good luck to the Junior High Boys & Girls Basketball teams as they travel to
Ar-We-Va tonight to play the Rockets. GO BIG BLUE!
For lunch today is: Pork Patty, Cheesy Hashbrowns, corn, peaches, and a roll.
Breakfast for tomorrow is: Bagel & sausage
Lunch for tomorrow is: Calzone, lettuce salad, mixed veggies, and pineapple.
